Airconditioning Systems

Room Air Conditioners
A traditional Room Air Conditioner is a box in the window or wall of your home. With a room air conditioner, the entire system is just one system.
A room air conditioner is really designed to cool a small room only, not an entire house or building and although they are easily fitted to windows or through openings made in brick or timber walls and provide a rapid low cost solution, they are noisy and unsightly.
Typically these systems are packaged as units where all mechanisms are contained within one unit – so servicing and repairing them may become quite costly.
Split Systems

Fan Unit - Located Inside The Building
Whilst a room air conditioner may appear to be a cost effective solution for cooling a single room, the aesthetics and noise may be uninviting for many people.
The evolution of an air conditioning system is the Split System – where the ‘room airconditioner’ was cut in half.
In a Split System, the compressor and fan are split into two discreet units. The compressor unit is typically located externally to the building whilst the fan unit is located in the room, or area, to be cooled.

The benefits of a split system air conditioner are that it is generally quieter than a room air conditioner and can be sized more appropriately to cool larger rooms or areas. It is possible that a single split system air conditioner can cool an entire house.
There are many different types of split system air conditioners including:
The type of system that you would choose is dependant on your needs and the area to be cooled. A qualified and experienced Bell-Air Air Conditioning expert will work with you to determine the most appropriate solution for your home or business.
